Screen Printing photo emulsion method using the speedball diazo system.
This is one of the most exciting methods of screen printing because it offers the widest range of possibilities.
It makes possible the printing of fine line drawings, various hand and commercial lettering techniques, as well as photographic half-tone positives.
Contains one 7 oz bottle of Photo Emulsion, a 8oz jar of Photo Emulsion Remover, and a bottle of Condensed Sensitizer(sensitizer bottles appears empty, but actually contains condensed sesitizer that is filled half way with water and mixed wel), 3 year shelf life unmixed. | |

This quality photo emulsion produces sharp, high quality images.
Used for direct application to the screen, this 32 oz. jar of emulsion is light-reactive, water-soluble and spreads easily.
This emulsion must be mixed with Speedball 2oz Sensitizer.
The sensitized and properly exposed photo emulsion will withstand water immersion.
A post exposure of about 10 minutes, or longer, to sunlight will insure and improve the water resistance.
Wash out with mineral spirits.
* 4 Liquid ounces is sufficient for 7 10''x14'' screens.
* 8 Liquid ounces is sufficient for 14 10''x14'' screens.
* 32 Liquid ounces is sufficient for 55 10''x14'' screens.

For "tusche-resist" or positive screen printing.
Apply with brush to cover entire screen with screen filler; when the screen filler is dry, the drawing fluid can be washed out, allowing for the area to be printed.

Diazo Sensitizer is used with Diazo Photo Emulsion, and is the ingredient that makes the emulsion light sensitive and ready to develop.
Mix Sensitizer with Photo Emulsion to activate the development of a stencil image.
When mixed with Photo Emulsion, this solution can be stored up to three months at room temperature or up to six months in the refrigerator.

A light sensitive solution that is designed to allow the artist to create line, tonal and gradated marks.
A screen is coated with the emulsion and then a photographic positive transparency is placed over the emulsion.
The screen is exposed to UV light. After exposure the opaque lines or tones of the positive will be washed away leaving the areas open to printing.

* Fast, water resistant screen emulsion with separate diazo powder

Application advantages
* 40% solids content before sensitizing.
* Rather low viscosity (relatively thin).
* Suitable for all inks containing water only and no solvents.
* Simple to use with good resolution and high definition.
Coating technique and stencil thicknesses below the mesh
* It is recommended to let the sensitized emulsion degas during a few
hours after sensitizing. Coat slowly with enough trough pressure against
the mesh. This prevents air bubbles which could cause pinholes.
* The emulsion can be used for coating on an automatic coating machine.
