In a village in France on the banks of the Rhone, the
Canson paper mill has been making the world's finest art papers since 1557. It is a tradition which has been handed down from generation to generation in a family known for imagination, innovation, and the 1783 invention of the hot air balloon - created of paper.
Canson Mi-Teintes has long been a standard coloured paper surface for pastelists, and one of the few offered in rolls for large scale work. It is a 67% cotton and 33% cellulose fibre, acid free, machine-made 160 gsm weight paper.
The surface has a very fine tooth, one smoother side and one textured side. Surface is grained and suitable for artists of gouache, watercolour, acrylics, pastel, pencil, chalk and crayon. Light-resistant. Suitable for all printing processes, especially silk screen.
To ensure that your paper will arrive without damage to edges or corners, we have a 10-SHEET MINIMUM on all shipped sheet art paper orders. You can select any combination of papers, colours and sizes to make up the 10-sheet minimum, unless stated otherwise.
